Inqueery in Precarity

The Queer Campus Lab: Research and Practice for Queering and Trans*ing Higher Education

Thursday, November 12

The Queer Campus Lab: Research and Practice for Queering and Trans*ing Higher Education is a biannual webinar hosted in collaboration between Spectrum Center and the Phillip J. Bowman Center for Scholarship to Practice. Each semester, scholars and practitioners come together for critical conversations at the intersection of 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and higher education scholarship, research, and praxis.

For Fall 2026, we invite you to join us for "Inqueery in Precarity,” a discussion that centers on the experiences of faculty conducting research on gender, sexuality, and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities and identities. As anti-DEI and anti-LGBTQ+ efforts reshape the landscape of higher education and the Academy, esteemed faculty will reflect on what it means to carry out 2SLGBTQIA+ scholarship right now, including the ways they care for their own and their community’s overall well-being.

This event is designed for faculty and staff engaged in scholarship and practice related to gender, sexuality, and 2SLGBTQIA+ identities, higher education scholars and graduate students, and anyone interested in queering and trans*ing higher education.
