Emma Soberano is the instructional designer for the CASCaDE initiative and managing editor of Spark from the Bowman Center. She works with subject matter experts to create engaging, approachable resources for equity-minded leadership empowerment of higher education professionals. Emma holds a doctorate from the department of English Language & Literature at the University of Michigan, where her interdisciplinary research focused on race, colonialism, and ecological knowledge and management practices depicted in nineteenth-century British literature, and contemporary authors’ reimaginings of these topics through Neo-Victorian novels.
